PDF

If you generate a PDF file of several nominal accounts, each account starts on a new page - or at least it does when I do it from my Sage!

You can then print the PDF document.

Hope that helps.

so are you saying currently when you print directly, it doesn't separate each nominal ledger onto a new page?

Yes...

If there is room at the foot of the page to print more, then it does so.

Serious old bugbear with Sage

 . . . .  and there are lots more.

Over the years I have been presented with full nominal activity reports that number as many as c200 pages. Trying to 'quickly' look at a transaction that is in trade creditors or a VAT control account could take an age. If I have more than a few to look up I am ready to put at match to it, especially as the reports do not even include a page header as to what nominal account you are looking at. Mindless.

@ Jazzy - on every PDF I have seen, no nominal accounts have automatically started on a new page.

Surely, an ascent system would be better?

Page breaks

Find the nominal activity report "Nominal Activity - Excluding No Transactions" and edit it in Report Designer.

In Designer View enable the Properties pane that appears on the right hand side (if it does not appear by default).

On the report click on the ACCOUNT_REF Footer and then under Properties change Behaviour> Page Break After from false to true. If you Preview the report now you should find each nominal starts on a new page.

Select Save As to save the customised report under My Nominal Reports.
