I've recently started working for a small company which has been using Sage Line 50, fairly successfully, for stock control purposes. They have been sending raw materials to a single factory, manufacturing, then transferring in to Finished Goods which were held at a single location. A bill of materials is defined for each finished item, and cost prices for all raw materials based on purchase orders raised etc.
However, they have recently expanded and now are using two factories for manufacture, and are selling from two locations. It appears to me that Sage Line 50 cannot distinguish between location (although there is a freeform location field), and that upgrade to Sage 200 would provide this functionality albeit at a cost the business cannot afford. I looked for a bolt-on alternative but only found one which effectively duplicates up all the stock lines (of which there are loads).
Can anyone tell me if Sage Line 50 can cope with this (and if so, how) - or if not then recommend cost-effective alternatives which we can use with Sage Line 50?
Many Thanks

Locations
Sage 50 cannot handle multiple locations, there is only one per product record. I do know of some users who just duplicate the product and have a prefix on the stock code for the location.
Here are some add ons that allow for multiple locations (you need to bear in mind that 3rd party developers cannot change the way that Sage works so, by definition, the add ons will have to store their own 'copies' of the stock records):

multi-location stock for Sage 50
Hi
we have an add-on for Sage 50 which handles multi-locations

alternatively , we can suggest a cloud application such as ExactOnline which has this functionality inbuilt as it is an integrated accounting /stock system with a manufacturing module also;
