Always good to annoy the scammers.
Just had one of those calls purporting to be from a Microsoft Windows rep, telling me that I had received dodgy files by email and that they would help me to fix my computer. Didn't have the time to string them along, so went straight for the "That's odd, I work for Microsoft too and I've never heard of your department." I had to chuckle when she told me not give her that bullsh*t.

I had one a couple of weeks back
who managed to recognise the level of sarcasm in my "Oh reeeeally" reply, apologised and rang off :O
BTW has anyone else noticed a sudden influx of spam purporting to be from the Australian Tax Department? Mailwasher was working overtime blocking them in the last week or so.

You mean they're not genuine??? Better withdraw the 76 claims that we've made then!
Fun
We attempt fun from these tedious interruptions; when the caller says they're from Microsoft, we alternate between seeing how deranged we can make our loud laughter sound into the mouthpiece, asking to be put through to their colleague John who called us last time and answering with absolute silence or heavy breathing (domestic rather than business number, touch wood).
Please give us some other good ideas!
