Hi all,
I run two separate Ltd companies (one start-up & one acquisition) across two sites and I'm looking to change my accounting software away from Sage. Like most small businesses future cash-flow is critical and I monitor this using a simple Excel spreadsheet which covers the next 3-6 months.
An ideal facility of any new software would be a cash-flow forecast function that saves me having to double enter all supplier and customer invoices. Both companies have many common suppliers, and at some stage in the future we may merge the two limited companies but maintain the two separate sites (and possibly add more).
My accountant is suggesting either Xero or VT Transaction+, but neither of these seem to give me what I want.
Can anybody recommend anything else? Thanks.
Rich

SAP Business One
Hi Rich,
We provide SAP Business one, and Sage, on a HANA platform, which gives analytical cashflow.
We can do a demonstration any time. The starter packs can be as cheap as Sage.
Thanks

Hello Rich,
Pastel Evolution will meet your requirements and with branch accounting you can add-on and manage different locations, either as separate companies or as as a single company with separate branches.

QuickFile
I would heartily recommend QuickFile, http://www.quickfile.co.uk instead of Sage. It is free for micro companies with less than 1000 ledger entries per year and if like me you have 2 Ltd companies, you can either keep them separate on different logins or sign up for their Affinity product which is very cheap at only approx 10p per day.
The big differentiators with QuickFile though are the support and flexibility. The support offered by Glenn and his team is second to none and I have worked in the IT Support industry for over 20 years dealing with every single manufacturer and software provider you could probably name! They are always on the forum, respond within minutes and are always open to suggestions for improvements or required functionality.
I have been using it for about 3 years and support Sage Line 50/200 and Payroll with my clients but will always recommend QF over Sage... Their foreign based support is appalling!
Hope that helps,
Nick
Xero
Hi,
If I get the its if this correctly I think you will be able to do this with Xero and a cashflow forecasting tool that takes data directly from Xero so no need to double enter.
If you want to chat a bit more about this you can book a call with me here - www.calendly.com/Matt-Flanagan
Thanks,
Matt
