Setting up bank accounts for clients

Setting up bank accounts for clients

Didn't find your answer?

Hello,

I take on a lot of new Contractors as clients and notice competitors offer to set them up with bank accounts. Whenever I have tried to do this it has never gone smoothly. I have a contact at HSBC where in theory I would be able to complete the application form for them and then just send them in to prove their ID but I am now being told HSBC have changed their process and they have to go in for a full meeting (so that they can try and sell them lots of stuff they don't need I presume).

I was wondering how everyone else dealt with this or had any tips. Ultimately I'd like to do as much of the process as possible for the new clients.

Thanks

A1 Company Incorporation Agents used to offer a Barclays Bank Account with a new company purchase. I don't know if they still do but it worked for me in the past

Thanks

Thank you both for the comments. It's good to know that others don't have some secret easy process. Looks like I won't be able to do anymore than setting up meetings for clients.
