Simple tax return question

Simple tax return question

Didn't find your answer?

Service charges on apartments / flats can be quite a significant sum each year. They normally cover things such as heat / light / cleaning of communal hallways, external maintenance, window cleaning, gardening etc etc.   If the owner of the flat rents it out, but pays the service charge, in which box on the tax return should these expense be included ?   Thanks

I always put it in box 24 - Rent rates insurance ground rent etc. but don't know whether that's the correct place or not.

Trying that to a client
Had one pedant of a client who insisted it was in the wrong box. I don't miss him.
