Didn't find your answer?

Hi All

I am looking too change my accounting software.

I currently use everything sage -sage 50 for book-keeping, sage payroll, sage accounts production and sage taxation.

I find it ok but very expense.

What do you all use out there and what can anyone recommend?

Thanks in advance

Lotti

Digita for full practice stuff, trying to get everyone onto Clearbooks or Xero for bookkeeping. Many on here are fans of VT but I don't personally like. Sage is very expensive and I don't rate their practice stuff but they have a huge market share in the North East where I operate so cannot really be ignored. Many of clients do still use sage products. I Have just switched to Brightpay for payroll which is £199 per year for a bureau licence and does everything very well and super easy to use. Moneysoft is a big favourite also with AWEB users.

I second Digita and raise Xero

We enjoy fantastic service from both companies.

Both should offer you realistic pricing.

I like Sage but only in my cooking!

VT, Moneysoft and tax filer. Keeps our costs down in the first year of the practice and love these softwares (only started using taxfiler recently.). BTC might integrate better with VT than taxfiler (I haven't used BTC) but we couldn't say no to taxfiler price!

All the tax packages listed at www.vtsoftware.co.uk/tax_packages link similarly with VT.
