We have changed our passwords with HMRC online this week, and we have entered the new passwords in our third party software (IRIS) which we use to file CT600s etc.

We can access HMRC online with the new passwords, however, our software will not submit returns to HMRC due to an 'authentication failure' with the new passwords.  Our software provider say they can't help as we've updated everything correctly and it may be an issue with HMRC - having called the Online Helpdesk, HMRC can't help either.

Has anyone else experienced this issue and been able to resolve it? Help!!

the problem will be that you ran the internet returns before you changed your passwords.  re-run them and you will be able to submit them.
