Hi,
Am considering purchasing this book
http://www.amazon.co.uk/St-Jamess-Place-Guide-2013-2014/dp/023028003X/re...
and would appreciate if anyone had an opinion to share about it's:
1. Technical level
2. Ease of reading (appreciate it's tough to balance these two!)
3. Style - plenty of practical examples/illustrations or just a 'translation' of tax legislation?
4. And any other thoughts
Thanks in advance

get one of your clients to use sjp, act as agent to get a share of commission,
from sjp salesman the get the book for free !!it's
a boring book anyway
not for a practitioner
I'd recommend Tolley's Tax Guide instead. I think the St James offering is not as comprehensive, e.g. corporation tax, VAT?
Tolleys Tax Guide

is excellent
Not the same thing as Tolleys Taxwise (which is also excellent, but is not so much of a reference book and more expensive)
