I have just gained a client who sells rugs through 6 concession sites within large retailers. Currently he has no stock system. Does anyone have any recommendations for a computerised system which will enable him to keep track of stock held in each location and his central warehouse. Ideally the system would also be able to cope with e-commerce sales from his website.

Khaos Control.....
.....is built for the purpose, it has multi-site stock control and a module to integrate with ecommerce enabled web sites. See www.keystonesoftware.co.uk and select Solutions | Backoffice ERP dropdown for more information.
You can contact me at [email protected] if you would like to know more, or phone 0845 25 75 111, option 2.

Things to consider
Operating within concessions usually requires the client to use the retailer's own systems. Any system your client installs would need to take a feed of sales from these systems, so identifying what feeds are available is key. Then consider how potential systems can deal with these.
Similarly, the new system would also need to take a feed of orders from the website, but you should also consider other additional possible integration with the site:
Stock availability back to the site
Order status (if you want to display this) back to the site
Product details (descriptions, prices etc) back to the site (assuming the stock control system holds the master details)
Your client might also consider implementing a system that has its own e-commerce engine and replace his existing site with an integrated one that gives additional functionality.
There are many systems out there that at first glance would meet your initial requirements - you'd also need to consider what other warehouse functionality is required, as well as budget.
