Stuck in the profession

Hi Everyone

Currently I am waiting for the results of my last subject to complete ACCA. I have worked 4 years abroad in audit firms so I can sign off my PER to get the ACCA membership. But I did not have gain good enough experience in UK because the current job I engaged as an accountant in a small company despite no any qualified person in accountancy/finance in it. I do the bookkeeping in excel and prepare the financial statements to submit the accountancy firm and do the management accounts and cash flow managements. By doing these works I feel that I am not be able to move in my career because the company also is not growing and I am also not gaining enough experience being with the company. However I cannot leave the company because I have to work for them as they have sponsored me to stay in this country and have another 4 years to go. But I can do another job in part time basis.

What now I am thinking as best is, joining with an audit firm on part time basis to sign off my PCTR (to get the ACCA practising -audit membership). Then I can gain the experience in UK as well as can get the practicing (audit) membership. But non of the audit firm are interesting to get me on part time basis.

I feel I am really stuck in my career progression. If any one can advice me how I can find a firm to sign of my PCTR or any other way that I can improve my career using my part time hours in next 4 years would be grateful.

Please reply if any one can help me.

Many Thanks.

Can you ask the external accountancy firm to sign off your experience?  You prepare records for them, so they can see your work and might be happy to sign if off
