is anyone using tax filer software and if so is it any good?
I've been using taxclac for many years but have been unhappy with the changes this year and feel that the support side of things has gone downhill too

For about 2 months
I have been using taxfiler for about 2 months now and have filed CT600's,SA100's and SA800's.
I find it easy to use and its very cost effective with a monthly subscription, response from support has been 1st class .
Taxfiler
I have been using Taxfiler for six months having migrated from Drummohr. The software is excellent has equivalent or greater functionality and is less than half the price. Most importantly the support is excellent - light years better than its predecessor.
In my opinion the larger software houses are becoming more and more costly for the smaller practice - we end up paying for a lot of unwanted bells and whistles. My best software move for ages.
We Moved to TaxCalc This Year

Ironically we moved away from Digita this year to TaxCalc for the same reasons and saved a small fortune. We have found TaxCalc to suit us very well.
Taxfiler software
Hello there . Just wondering how you are getting along with Taxfiler software. Any regrets to switching from Drummohr ? Any problems on the conversion process?? Did you have to import client data/details from Drummohr ?? How good is the helpline ( I believe online only ). I am also currently using Drummohr but seriously converting to Taxfiler.
Your comments will be appreciated . Thanks
In the Cloud
I have used TaxCalc for many years and didn't like the changes this year. Their new accounts production software was also launched at a much higher price than VT Accounts, so I didn't even give it a second look. We have used Liberty Accounts in the cloud for many years and I was looking for software for tax and for accounts production to complete my cloud based office.
I read good reports about Taxfiler on Accounting Web and decided to try it out. I am delighted as I now have an excellent product and have solved another one of my cloud requirements. Only accounts production to go! I should also state that I contacted Paresh Patel before going ahead. I had an excellent conversation with him and during it I mentioned some minor issues I had. Most were to to do with understanding the software and all were immediately explained, so I have no worries about support. Take the plunge!!

I am a small business and looking to subscribe to Taxfiler. I want a cost effective product but with good support. I understand the support is online only. Have any users out there found the online support sufficient and helpful in the absence of telephone support? The other product I am contemplating is tax calc. Any advice would be welcome.

It Looks very Good for the Money.
Funnily enough I had just clicked on the sponsored link prior to reading your post. I use complete Digita suite which is very good. But as a tax only product the price is great and if it does the job as lets face it 90% of the returns I do are relatively straight forward then it looks a good alternative to others on the market. before you sign up I would speak with some others who actually use it to see how good, tech support etc although if its cloud based problems should be few and far between.
Tax filer
Most things cloud get my vote as we are an online practice in as many aspects as we can be. Tax return software is the last bit of the jigsaw and having looked at and read reviews on TaxFiler we will make the move early next year.
TaxCalc was good but cost comparison, being non cloud based, and with The Hub being more suited to a sever type setup, time has come to move anyway. It has gotten a bit clunky IMO.
