Tax surcharge appeal - where to send ?

Tax surcharge appeal - where to send ?

Didn't find your answer?

We sent in a CGT late payment surcharge appeal a couple on months ago to BX9 1AS (wherever that is !) but, almost inevitably, had no response.

Does anyone know of a better address ?  HMRC website goes on at length about appealing but fails to say where to.

Thanks,

Appeal by reply

I believe the procedure is supposed to be to send your appeal to the address given on the notice of surcharge, I'm afraid I don't know what that would be though and if that's where you got your BX9 1AS address from then I'm out of ideas!

BX postcode

The BX postcode is a non-geographical postcode, mainly used by HMRC and Lloyds Bank.  Post goes to a central location (black hole?) and then the recipient decides where the post should be physically sent...........
