Third party website leads for accountants

Hi

I have never used the third party marketing / leads websites that you sometimes see. My question is should I register my details or are they just a waste of time and with some of them that charge a waste of money.

Have many accountants managed to obtain much business by tendering quotes, I would be grateful for any views or experience with them.
