Training on book-keeping software

Training on book-keeping software

Didn't find your answer?

This is general question. I provide training on Sage to some clients who need that level of complexity, but am about to start training on VT for the very small people.

The Sage clients will be charged an hourly rate of £50 per hour for training. Those using VT will probably not have many transactions initially and I am wondering whether it would be better not to charge for (say) a half hour training and just ensure the fixed tax fee covers that.

Maybe there is a better way. How do you handle this for your clients?

Charge for it

We give half day training on VT to clients and charge £160. This is usually enough to get them started. The downside may be the follow up calls that don't get charged for. However overall having clients competently bookkeeping on VT outweighs the "support calls"
