A client owns two limited companies. One provides him with a company van which is available for him to use personally and hence porioperly included on his P11d (van + fuel). This company pays all of the related costs.
He uses the van for that business and also for the second company that he owns.
Given that he is taxed on his personal use of this van from the first company, is he able to claim mileage (at HRMC's authorised rates) from the second company?
