Hello
Any help with the issues surrounding the following scenario would be appreciated:
Italian gentleman, UK born wife although she left UK to permanently live in Italy and hasn’t worked here since she was 18.
He wants to register a company in England and carry out all his trading in Italy.
I have presumed that they won’t encounter problems here but could do from Italian authorities. Being that the company is controlled and operated from Italy.
His wife will be the sole director / shareholder. I presume that dividends paid to her will be free from tax but that she will be required to submit a tax return. Should I register her to file returns? Is there any obligation to do so?
Also, VAT. His turnover will be well over the limit. What should he do regarding VAT when purchasing from Italy and then making sales to Italy?
Thanks in advance.
