Umbrella Asset Trust

Umbrella Asset Trust

Didn't find your answer?

Hello,

I read a few places that if your a high earner and have considerable cash, that you can buy into an " umbrella asset trust " and then have no tax to pay on it ( ie interest ) or if you have properties, no rental income tax. Is this legal?

The only thing on google I can find is this http://www.taxandpensions.co.uk/trusts/asset_trust/

I expect this is an EBT (or remuneration trust)

Probably promoted by Baxendale-Walker or some other unregulated adviser. You should only use a regulated professional for advice on this in my view.
