US tax return for UK resident

US tax return for UK resident

Didn't find your answer?

Client is UK resident and domicile but has a US tax return.  Should the income entered on the US return be included on the UK SA return as well?

Yes - if your client is UK resident then they are taxable on their worldwide income, which will include anything declared in the US.  They may be able to claim a credit for tax paid in the US.

As a matter of interest...

If you're client is both domiciled and resident in the UK, why are they receiving a US Tax Return?

Is it because they are a US Citizen or is it because they have significant income from the US?
