A friend who is a HR Director does a lot of recruiting via Linked In; she searches through profiles that match her staffing needs & will often contact the people that interest her directly to see if they are interested in changing jobs. She knows that this is how a great deal of the agencies recruit their professional candidates, so you would be cutting out the middleman & saving money. A lot of professionals do join Linked In purely to advertise themselves & are often searching for new posts.
