I am Agent for a UK holding company and they employ a sales manager who works all over Europe and Middle East. The UK holding company is part of a larger international group and this manager's costs are recharged to 'sister' companies (predominantly in Europe) across the group based on how he spends his time. I am trying to find out the 'drivers' for the charges, whether there are formal or informal arrangements in place and what they are.
I have been looking into whether there is a need to register the holding company for UK VAT as there may be a need to record the EC Sales taking place.
I believe I have to consider whether a 'disbursement' is taking place....I have checked the HMRC website and phoned them but I am still scratching my head on this one. If anyone has any further information and guidance I would welcome your time, thank you

Unless Joint contract of employment
Unless their is a joint contract of employment with all the parties, there will be a supply of services by the management company as they employ the individual.
