Virtual office London

Virtual office London

Didn't find your answer?

Hi folks,

We're considering having an office address in London or the south-east region and would like to hear from anyone who has a virtual office or something similar. I can see various companies providing services of this nature but would love to hear from anyone in practice who uses one of these companies who can recommend their services.

Also considering a similar service with address in Glasgow (or Edinburgh).

We will need an office address and also a London/Glasgow telephone number. Not decided on whether to opt for answering service or call redirection as yet but happy to hear anyone's thoughts on this too.

We would like to pick up some customers in these areas to provide online accountancy services using Xero, Receipt Bank etc.........and develop relationships using Skype, virtual meeting tools etc. We would want to visit the offices too on a number of occasions each year for face-to-face meetings and workshops so availability of meeting rooms would be of interest too.

All advice and help greatly appreciated.

I used to have a virtual London office

And it made absolutely no difference to my business model.

At the end of the day as long as the key words in your website contain London / Glasgow then your actual address doesn't really matter. You can get the geographic numbers on Skype and forward them to your mobile. I haven't had much luck with call answering services (but that does't mean they are not good)

You can still go to London and meet clients but there are their offices, pubs and coffee shops to meet clients at, as well as meeting rooms you can hire by the hour if you need something more formal.

If you have a client that insists of having an accountant locally they probably wont like your online model anyway.

My advice to you is that you need to develop more of a niche because there are hundreds of accounts in London / Glasgow doing what you are proposing and having a physical address in London wont help you one bit, just use up resources.

Every single one of my London clients has come from a referral. There are just too many to choose from and I think most people ask their mates etc who they use and go with them.

You will be in competition with KPMG

Hi

Xero -receipt bank.   Those are the services that KPMG are offering in Glasgow at  a very successful rate so you will have a lot of competition,  Their Advertising is huge in Glasgow as is their office.
