Visiting Canada for Meeting

Visiting Canada for Meeting

Didn't find your answer?

Hello all,

I am hoping someone can help me as I am struggling to get a clear answer from anywhere.

I am looking at travelling to Canda for 2 days to go and visit a customer for a meet and greet. I have just been promoted to having more dealings with our North American and Canadian customers. I would like to go and visit our customer in Canada to say hello and put a face to the name on the emails.

There is no work involved just a simple 'get to know'. Do I require a business B1 visa? It doesnt state clearly on the Canada embassy website that they would have any issues with going for a simple meeting. I tried ringing them but you have to submit an online form with loads of details.

I cant see why they would have any issues with what I'm going for but would like someone to clarify for me.

Thank you in advance.

Richard

Looks like normal visitor visa rules apply

I think this is what you're after

http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/visit/business-who.asp

Your example would fall into the 'advance existing business relationships' category
