VT accounts - are any other mac users using it?

Didn't find your answer?

I am a Mac user and want to buy VT accounts so I need to get windows.  I need some help with the following please:
Parallels seems to be the recommended parallel desktop to run windows.
I will need to buy windows - would Windows XP be OK or should I buy Windows 7 or 8 since they are newer?  Do I just buy a standard disc and intsall it into the Parallels desktop?
If I want to import excel data from a file saved in my mac files then can I copy and paste into VT acounts in windows? I don't really want to have to do everything in windows since I use outlook and excel on the mac part currently.  Also what does everyone do to backup excel files and VT accounts?  Thanks for any assistance.

I use Windows 7 via Parallels. I have tried Windows 8 but did not like it.

The other option (other than another emulator like VM Fusion) is running Windows via Bootcamp.

VT Accounts only works within Windows. Backups to the Mac side are no problem, likewise to a flash drive.

Parallels fine, VM not

I used VT Accounts on my Mac for years, using Parallels and Windows XP.

When I switched from Parallels to VM for PC simulation on the Mac, VT Accounts no longer worked.

Stick to Parallels if you need to run VT Accounts on a Mac.
