Hi
On machines that are running Windows 2007 and Excel 2007 with a normal excel file I have no problem saving and generally the save is immediate.
However, excel spreadsheets for VT accounts with the VT add in, seem to take a long time to save the file.
It can scroll around for 30 seconds or more before saving.
Tried it on local C drive, rather than the server, but still the same and takes just as long.
Wondered if anyone else had experienced this problem and whether they found a solution.
Thank you in advance for any answers
Steve

Not much help I'm afraid
Don't seem to have a problem with that set up. I have had problems in the past over a network when handling .xls files instead of .xlsx files. The .xls files were incredibly slow to open and save and it wasn't due to the differing file sizes. However this was network only and not the local drive and I presume your VT files are .xlsx anyway.
Might be woth uninstalling the VT addin and reinstalling it. VT Ssupport is also very good and worth contacting.
Same issue
We had this problem a few years ago when we upgraded to Win7. It was definitely a known issue with VT at the time so worth speaking to them. The solution we adopted at the time (which was VT's recommended workaround but we've stuck with it ever since) was to carry on saving their files in Excel 97-2003 format rather than as xlsx.
Same as adam.arca
Had these issues and use the same workaround.
Not sure if the issue has been resolved - speak to VT - the obvious (and quicker/correct) way to get it resolved.
