Web site and client access area advice

Didn't find your answer?

I am seeking advice before I update my website. What provider do other accountants in practice use for website and book keeping software accessible to clients?

Two aspects to this

Unless you have developed your own bookkeeping platform or host on-premise software it is likely you will use one of the cloud platforms. In that case you just give them the URL, or you could embed it in your website if the vendor supports that. Or if your budget allows you use an integrated website for example take a look at Digita.

If you just want to add a client area to your current website it depends on the platform. We looked at some good Wordpress add-ins that allow you to do this. The main challenge is getting the clients to use it, obviously data exchange and software access are good drivers but if you just want to share hints and tips you can put a lot of effort in for little value add.
