What 'paper' payroll records would you keep

Didn't find your answer?

I am using Moneysoft for one of our group companies. I know that most reports can be re-printed, however, I also need to provide information to another of our group companies in a freestanding format - such as PDF - ie not software dependent.

My question is - what would constitute a complete picture of the payroll for statutory purposes (ie excluding any info about the makeup of the gross pay)

I am thinking of:

1) Copy payslips

2) Deduction working sheet

3) RTI confirmation.

4) BACS payment letter, or similar

Thanks

Why

don't you ask them what they want?

In fact I'd suggest that they fork out for another Moneysoft licence (hardly going to break the bank) then you can email the data file and they can run their own reports.

Good question - answer not so simple

The parent company is overseas, has no knowledge of payroll, and will shortly be leaving the group. I am doing payroll for them for a couple of months before they leave the group, after which the parent will be engaging (I hope) a UK payroll agent to continue the UK payroll for this new UK subsidiary.

I am also leaving the employment of the group as well - so I am just looking to prepare a set of working papers that can be handed on to whichever UK agent is appointed. The agent will have it's own sofware etc.

I will be remaining in email contact with my current employer for a couple of months to ensure nothing gets lost in the handover - but, if I can start preparing the payroll documents now before I leave 'full time' employment it would be simpler than trying to get it all done in the evenings etc.

Thanks
