What would you do? - update

Didn't find your answer?

At the beginning of December I asked how others would deal with the dilemma of a brain-damaged client. (Sorry I don't know how to insert a link.)  I have waited a few weeks, but thought that my client's daughter should at least be kept informed, and so agonised over a letter to her about the need to submit a tax return, the tax due, and er, by the way, I have a bill too.

Well, sometimes we can worry too much.  Before I printed the letter the daughter rang and asked the questions.  She has 'authorised' me to submit the return, which I have done with a note in the white space.  She is going to try and pay the tax (<£1000) herself and she will also arrange to pay me.

And, mother' health is improving, although no-one yet knows if her memory and mental health will fully recover.

Thanks to everyone that replied.

Good result

I wasn't involved in the original thread (which can be found here) but I'm glad to hear such an awkward situation has turned out well. I'd also like to thank you for reporting back. So few people bother to do so.
