WHERE CAN I FIND CLIENTS/SUBCONTRACTOR WORK

WHERE CAN I FIND CLIENTS/SUBCONTRACTOR WORK

Didn't find your answer?

Im looking for subcontractor work where i can work from home & in the evenings. I have another job but i really want to have my own accountancy practice running. I have an ICAEW practising certificate yet i cant breakdthrough into getting meaningful cleints. I have more than 15 yrs exprience and also good with UK and international tax. Im also happy to partner/work with someone with clients. Though i have a number of leads - I subcribe to various sites where i pay for leads and i also have my own sites advertising accounting services - all in all i get at least 2/3 good leads per day but hardly convert these leads - im not in mainland UK and most potential clients are not comfortable dealing with someone offshore (esp someone with a foreign accent) and done online. I have budgeted £1k per month on advertising and pay per leads sites but i cant seem to get there....all i need to breakeven or leave my current employment is about 50 or so clients.

How?

How is this compatible with your other thread where you have leads coming out of your ears that you need someone to close for you?

I think your credibility is severely compromised, friend.

I understand your question. Yes i have a number of leads - subscribe to various sites where i pay have budgeted a handsome fee every month for leads and i also have my own sites advertising accounting services - all in all i get at least 2/3 good leads. However i only convert a very small % of these good leads and i see the reason for not converting being my location - im not in mainland UK (based in Channel Islands) and most potential clients are not comfortable dealing with someone offshore - though most of the accounting & tax work can be done online. Hence my other post where im looking for someone in UK to help with conversion of leads. My dilemma on how to close deals and  signup clients is still there and im confused on the way forward - whether to sub contract work or get a marketing person based in UK to assist or sell the referrals----I still desire to have a practice with a decent client base. I hope this clarifies your question.

Can you write well enough to be published?

Niche

Look at the 1k as an investment.  An investment into learning how to waste your money.

Don't bother advertising to the world at large, you are too small a fish in too big a pond.

Niche your service, select your market, and go to them directly.

Good at international tax?  then there's your nice and not a bad niche either as (generally) not price sensitive and much less competetion.
