I was wandering if someone could advise me on the following.
My accounting period and basis period are not the same, Therefore i have profits that i carried forward from last year. I need to include these profits on my current SA return, but cannot see which box these should be entered, in order for these to be included in my calculation. I am using HMRC''s online filing software.

Why?
Why is your basis period different to your accounting period? In my experience this is not very common, although I accept can happen and I suspect that HMRC's software will not be able to cope very well in this type of situation.
