Where is Form SA1?

Where is Form SA1?

Didn't find your answer?

I am looking for the Form SA1, but the link appears to be broken. Does anybody know how to access the email registration page?

Its been modernised

It is now an "interactive thingy" which requires the latest version of iExplorer; also you need to have all the answers to the questions before you start.

However, the welsh version is still available in the traditional two page format.

Is it one of those forms where you don't know what all the questions are until you have got to the end of the form?

If so it would be good to be told what information you need before you start.

So irritating

Fully agree, Peter.  It's been designed by someone who's never had to use it.  If one can't store a part-completed form, I now prefer to print them off and fill them in by hand - just so that I know I've got all the information I need.

But I'd prefer to store it part-completed, make a list of what information I need and go back to the form when I've assembled it.

This is one of the two 'taxpayer-friendly' innovations HMRC have come up with. The other being interactive voice response system where you get to talk to a robot. Frankly not much different from the live response though!

HMRC-friendly

This is nothing about being taxpayer-friendly, more about encouraging taxpayers to give up trying to phone them.

Why not have different telephone numbers for different subjects and the taxpayer can phone and start talking about their problem immediately? Did they stop that because it was too sensible?

Do they still accept the PDF forms completed manually?

In my experience, yes

I submitted a couple of SA1s on paper about a month ago and had no problems with them being processed.  I think it may a bit longer though.
