Which software for Email mailshots?

Which software for Email mailshots?

Didn't find your answer?

I am about to check into email software, where I can use autoresponders to send regular emails to subscribers. I would want to ensure that there is a double opt out procedure so that no-one is driven mad by me. I know there needs to be a database attached that can receive email addresses from various sources such as my website, LinkedIn etc.

I have heard of Mailchimp, Aweber etc, but don't know enough about what I should look out for. What do you think are the essential elements in such a package?

Mailchimp

Hi Moonbeam,

I use mailchimp quite a lot and it seems to fulfill most criteria for marketing mail. They are rightly picky about where you source your emails from, so collect them with care.

With linkedIn, you can send messages to those you are linked to and more if you pay for the subscription. I am not sure that you can get at their email addresses otherwise?

Thank you to Kryton

I have been told there is better software around than Mailchimp but obviously need to do quite a lot of research to work out why the other software is better.

Mailchimp

We use Mailchimp and have recommended it to several clients as well.

Works well - is easy to use and ticks all the compliance boxes.
