Who claims back overpaid tax and how?

Who claims back overpaid tax and how?

Didn't find your answer?

I have a new client who was employed until July 2015 then they set up a Ltd Co.

As their salary for the year for 15/16 will now not exceed the PA they are due a refund of tax.

In the past, there was a form on HMRC's website which I have filled in for clients to reclaim the tax (I have always done it as the employer) and within a week or so the refund is made into the Ltd Company and the individual has then withdrawn it.

Now the form doesn't seem to exist and I have to complete the 'verify' information which I have done so but it will only let me claim for myself.

Am I doing this wrong and if so what is the correct way to reclaim the tax back?

Many thanks

I suspect he means via company payroll with no PAYE deductions to cover the repayment.

If so, https://www.gov.uk/payroll-funding
