Xero Accounting Software Question

Xero Accounting Software Question

Didn't find your answer?

Hi,

I'm taking on a new client who is currently using Xero Accounting Software, I've not come across this package before. My client is struggling with it. Would you recommend it? I'm tempted to move them on VT Accounts which I what I use.

Thanks

@Chloe

If you do a Google search something along the lines of 'Xero accounting software accountingweb' or 'cloud accounting software accountingweb' you'll find lots of threads on the subject.

Xero is very popular, I'm surprised that you've never heard of it.

Leave them on Xero

It's a very popular package and I'm surprised you have never heard of it

What exactly are they struggling with?

I would spend some time getting to learn it if I were you, as it is becoming more and more popular - we have loads of clients on it now

.

Xero is one of the main runners of the cloud packages. Learn it or be a dinosaur.

The idea behind Xero and, indeed other cloud based accountancy software, is that the data is accessible in real time by both the client and the adviser.

You should get the client to invite you to be their adviser from within their Xero software.

You will then receive an email that will give you a link to be taken to a sign on screen to access the client's data.This is free for the adviser so leave your hand in your pocket.

Then you can log in and, if you have experience of any other accounting packages you will quickly be able to pick up how the software works and set it all up properly for your client.
