QuickBooks 2004 Sales Invoices

QuickBooks 2004 Sales Invoices

Didn't find your answer?

I am currently setting up my company accounts in QB 2004 so we can go live 01-Jan-05, but have come across a problem with the customised sales invoice function.

I have customised the Sales Invoices to reflect our traditional excel based version but when I preview or print the invoice it shows additional fields.

95% of our sales are based outside of the EU, with 100% of our services being classed as Schedule 5 (para's 1-8) for VAT purposes, therefore there are no VAT implications.

Unfortunately the additional fields that will not go away relate to the sterling equivalent of the service, the £ VAT and the £ gross amounts. As there is no VAT implication, I see no reason for having this information on the invoice ' only the foreign currency amounts.

These unwanted fields do not show themselves when I am using the Design Layout function in QB, at least that way I can move them and make them appear 'for information purposes', but instead they overlay themselves on top of the foreign currency equivalent fields which makes it all illegible.

I have unchecked the fields in the 'Edit' function, but when I go back in they are checked again.

Does anybody have any solutions or workarounds? If not if somebody would be kind enough to tell me that what I am trying to achieve is impossible at least it means that I can give up worrying about it.

Thanks in advance.

John

Work Around
This problem is very frustating & the only work around I've found is in layout designer. Remove the additional fields below the bottom margin of the page ie drag & drop and set the bottom margin to 0.5". If the additional boxes still print you may need to alter you default printer setting bottom margin.

Alternatively
you could try condensing the boxes otherwise if you have multi currency on i think you are stuck with em , i will have another look as i have a few fx co's
