QuickBooks 2006 and 2008 not compatible after recent updates

After installing recent updates, I now find that QuickBooks 2005 and 2006 are incompatible. Is it just me?

but its a devil to see - when you reload question at the very top there is an edit question orange link - i missed it too

I meant 2005 and 2006.

It's a shame we cannot edit our original posts.

Your headline says 2006 and 2008, but the text says 2005 and 2006!

There seem to be some sustantial changes in the 2008 revision, which are made clear by the upgrade notes, and particularly in relation to the way that it handles VAT. I'd be very surprised if it was compatible with 2006.
