Quickbooks accountant changes

Quickbooks accountant changes

Didn't find your answer?

I just wondered if anyone has come across solution to my problem (or whether someone from Intuit would like to comment - this has happened before and the technical helpline said 'tough')

I am trying to import accountants changes into a client's copy of the file.  When I try to import, I get an error, that helpfully tells me that the import has failed and I can print a copy of the changes so that I can import them manually.   Having a file with 71 amendments to it (yes, it was a bit of a mess!), I obviously do not want to do that!  Had I wanted to do it manually, I would not have bothered with the accountants copy!

The problem is with line 44 (nicely in the middle), where apparently 'The "transaction IsTaxIncluded state" field has an invalid "true".'

I have tried to open the .qby file in some readable format. but whatever I use (excel, wordpad, browser) it is gobbledegook.  I have also tried deleting the offending transaction (which was already a voiding), but that just added my 71st change!

Can anyone out there help me please (before I throw the computer, or at least Quickbooks) out of the window????!!!!

Quick Books

Do you have the same version of Quick Books as the client as there can be problems in transferring data between different versions

If yes why not phone Quick books helpline I have found them reasonable in the past

Yes...

it is the same version.

I called the helpline last time I had the same problem, and they just told me that I had to re-enter all of the changes in the client file!

I just wondered if anyone had found a way round that?
