We are thinking of making a staff member redundant, and wanted to follow the correct procedure so that we are not accused of wrongful or constructive dismisal
The employee has been employed for just over 14 months, but we just cant afford to keep him on anymore.
Does anyone know of a specialist firm that can help?
We were recommended a "nationalfirm" specialising in Employment Law, but they want us to sign up for a 5 year contract to deal with this matter, draw up new contracts of employments, help in following the correct procedure to make this employee redundant and represent us if a case is brought of wrongful or constructive dismisal, covering all expenses of the tribunal including any payouts! But for this service, the cost is appox £4000, and we are just able to afford such a cost right now.
Any suggestions would be highly appreciated
