We are a civil engineering company and I am looking for a contract costing system.
We currently use Ramesys but we are having lots of problems with the accounting package, so we are looking to go back to sage but buy the sage construction as a bolt on.
Has any one used this and how have you found it?
Thanks
Robert Jones

Many Ex-Ramesys customers now use Coins
A significant number of former Ramesys users now use Coins from Construction Industry Solutions.
See http://www.coins-global.com/ for further details or email [email protected] .

Access Accounts
Hi Robert
Sage's Construct product was bought in from a company called ATW last year. It is a separate program and bolts on to the financial packages (Sage Line 50/100/200 etc).
If you'd like something that is all in the same system and already used by many similar companies, and has strong financials, then have a look at Access Accounts. Coincidentally we can help with this.
Our team cover the majority of the country. You can contact me at [email protected] or on 023 8070 2345.
I look forward to hearing from you.

Don't do it!!!!!!!!!!!!
Getting shot of Ramesys is a good idea. Going back to Sage is very bad. Heed John Clough's words...but if you want a check on this then visist http:/?www.exchequer.com or http://www.iris.com
Disclosure: I have no commerical relationship with Exchequer or IRIS - yet.
Oh, by the way...
Contrary to comments made earlier, Sage acquired ATW and the Construct programs two years ago. It runs on a SQL database with a Visual Basic front end. It's a bit more than a "bolt-on" but it is a separate database from Line50/Line100/MMS, as is the Sage Payroll.
I should know...
If you want information on Sage Construct, I can give some informed comments if you email me direct on [email protected]. I can also give you details of Build-IT, which many ex-Ramesys users are turning to.
One giant leap for Sage?
Hmm, 60,000 construction customers using Sage products (note, not Sage Construction products). That makes an additional 20,000 in less than a year (see previous Sage advertising campaigns). What fantastic sales! (I use 'fantastic' in its broadest sense)
