Sage ODBC Table error

Sage ODBC Table error

Didn't find your answer?

Hello all

Does anyone know why on one particular Sage 50 company the SORT_ORDER column from the Sage.CATEGORY ODBC query would not be populated?

It works as normal on all other sage data but for some reason I have one dataset where it does not. Hopefully it is an easy fix within the Sage COA.

Thanks in advance for your advice.

Kind regards

Jeremy

Sort Order

My guess (and it is just a guess) is that the data has been upgraded from an earlier version at some point and the field was not populated correctly during the upgrade procedure.  Either that or the data file is corrupt...

v12 ODBC?

Hi John

Thanks for the reply. The data is from v12. If I load it onto v15 the ODBC connection is working properly and the SORT_ORDER column is populated.

Do you know if this column was not used on Sage.CATEGORY in versions 12 and before?

Seems quite an important field on this particular table so I cant see that it would not be but cant see any other explanation for this..

Thanks

Jeremy

v12

I've just checked in my copy of v12 and the SORT_ORDER field does not exist on the CATEGORY table in v12...
