Sage Practice Solution

Sage Practice Solution

Didn't find your answer?

Having endured two installation visits from Sage and having sent in to Sage my Line 50 and Time and Fees data on three occassions I still do not have Sage Practice Solution running. I am also finding it extremely difficult to get any respose from Sage on their proposals to rectify this situation. I would be interested in any comments from SPS users on the abilities of a working installation before I put plan B into effect, i.e ask Iris to quote for a full suite of tax, accounts production and practice management software.

Drive
...another suggestion before plan B is to consider Drive Practice Management with modules for Accounts Production and Taxation.

Go straight for plan B
You lose nothing by asking IRIS for a quote and may well find out why it is so much more popular with accountants than Sage (and Digita and the other one I have never heard of).

Before plan B, call Digita
Yet another firm unhappy with Sage, seems to be a common thread - Great Marketing, poor delivery. Don't beleive the hype ! As for IRIS, well they are just a smaller version of Sage aren't they ?
My advice would be to go for a proven provider that seems to receive nothing but praise on Accounting Web - check out Digita who now have a full range of fully integrated solutions including a central Practice Manager. We've used their products for nearly two years and have been delighted.

We have had it running!
We have had the same problem as you and the answer to our problem was to start with a brand new blank database in Sage Line 50 and then do the upgrade on SPS. Once we got it running, we spent around a week trying to check the data back to the original Time and Fees and could not do that because SPS dosen't have any control reports in it. If you try and replicate alot of the reports that were in Time & Fees in SPS you will be disapointed. We have reverted back to Time & Fees and are running this for the time being.

working but not working!
Our SPS was installed and working all in 1 day. However when we went to use it for our normal 'time & fees' funstions we found it so different and hard to follow we have reverted back to Time & Fees. We will probably give it another go after some training because despite what people say I actually like Sage products and dont have any problems with Sage tax, payroll or accounts production. I also find their support very good.

p.s. no I dont work for them!

Sage Support
Alistair

If Sage support is SO good, why do you have to revert to your old product, instead of getting them to sort the new product out for you?
