Sage Taxation data corruption

Sage Taxation data corruption

Didn't find your answer?

We are using Sage Personal Taxation version 4.2.3i on a Novell network and are experiencing rather a lot of data corruptions. Sage have supplied fixit programs that do fix the data but the disruption of getting everyone out of the system to fix it is getting rather a pain.

Are we alone?

Anyone fixed it for good?

What about PTP ?
Has anyone any experience of PTP's personal and partnership return software ?

In general I have found it is be good, we use personal & partnership returns and ELS. But they seem to be very late each year getting approval from the IR.

A comparison of different packages would be useful.

Sage Taxation software
I would switch to a dedicated Tax Software provider like Drummohr Technology. www.drummhor.co.uk.
they are fairly cheap, they are one of the first ones approved annually by the I/R and they can take Sage date and import it into the program. They use ELS and I have found them to be excellent in terms of backup support and regular updates, downloadable on line. An annual licence fee is payable and they do Personal, Company, Partnership and Trust Returns.
