Shared diary software

Shared diary software

Didn't find your answer?

We are in need of suitable software to place on our LAN server (Red Hat Linux)to enable 15+ users to "see" each other's diary for scheduling. Unavaliable time would show as exactly that i.e appointment details would not be able to be viewed except by the owner. Web-based is preferred and I do not wish to unneccessarily add to Bill G's not inconsiderable fortune.

Please advise of any experiences / suggestions.

Try these
Online Web solutions offeres on an Application Service Provider(ASP) basis are now fairly common and would probably the cheapest option. You could look at http://www.1workgroup.com/, which enables users to suppress diary details, as you ask (in practice, you'll probably find that this level of confidentiality isn't ultimately necessary).

http://www.scheduleonline.com paovides an Outlook-like solution which offers syncing with PDAs.

There's an index of online resources at http://www.collaboration-tools.com/collaboration-tools.htm

Shared diary, Redhat
Hi Steve

We use and supply business management software which includes a shared diary and runs on Linux redhat, Apple and that other OS!...and any combination of these.

It is straightforward to implement and has long been web enabled.

There is much more to be said about it and presumably, you will have many questions? I suggest you give me a call to discuss.

Diary Manager
Have a look at this one:
www.diarymanager.com/.

The company is based in Brighton and has some useful facilities within its shared diary system.
