Signing CT41G as an agent?

Have scoured the web (including HMRC) and found no answers...

Im wondering whether as an authorised agent can I sign a clients CT41G on their behalf?

In the Declaration section under the Status field the form states "Except where a liquidator or administrator has been appointed, any person who is authorised to do so may sign on behalf of the company"

This doesnt explicitly mention that the accountant can sign the form however, on the Dormant Company insert that accompanies the CT41G the form states "Status in which you have signed the form. (for example, company secretary, treasurer, liquidator, administrator, authorised accountant"

Therefore the accountant can sign the insert however it's not clear if the accountant can sign the CT41G. Seems strange that the accountant can sign part one part of the form and not the other...

Any help would be much appreciated.
