Single integrated accounts package ?

Single integrated accounts package ?

Didn't find your answer?

I am looking for an accountancy software package which is reasonably priced, and will suit my requirements. Can anyone suggest anything that will come close to providing the following?

- Facility to automate the integration of sales transactions from an E-commerce web site, and also mail order sales. With the production of invoices.

- Stock control with facility for inputting details of returned / exchanged items.

- Input of all invoices etc...

- Full reporting on sales trends and stock flow etc.

Thanks for any recommendations...
Gavin Jones

QuickBooks 2002 due for release this month
Suggest you have a look at what QuickBooks Pro version has to offer. A user friendly and very competent integrated package.

You can try it out for up to 60 days with a full money back warranty if its not suitable.

Yes - Try Access Accounts - end to end E-Commerece
Access Accounts can, I think, do all that and inexpensively too. Look at www.hoge100.co.uk.

MYOB would be good
Hi Chris

This sounds really interesting.

I have looked at MYOB, and it does look like an excellent product for my purposes.

Do you have any more details of how the e-commerce site was integrated?

The only thing that put me off this solution was having to manually import the CSV files.

Out of interest, was MYOB being used for stock control as well?

Thanks for your help.

Some ideas
Gavin

All three accounting products we offer can achieve your list, but can you provide a little more information to help us

1 is the website yours (ie designed for or by you) where it is already 'creating transactions' that are looking for a home or are you looking for a site to be developed as part of the exercise

2 who is dealing with 'carriage charges' - the web visitor based on the address they give and products they choose on the web site or by your office on despatch. This question helps to understand the complexity of your solution requirements

3 who is dealing with 'payment' - the web visitor based on the credit card details they leave or by your office in a normal debt collection procedure. This question helps to understand the complexity of your solution requirements

4 rough budget you have in mind (software, services, etc) - there are solutions for 1K, 5K, 50K, 500K - the field is narrowed as you decide

Please contact us if you wish for some further help

Take a look at AccountView Business Software
From the brief details you give, AccountView appears to be a possible choice.
As a re-seller of AccountView Business Software, I suggest you take a look at http://www.accountview.co.uk/ and http://www.rcl-systems.co.uk/
The last site gives examples of XML based web sales catalogues and other XML/XSLT based processes.
Of course alot more details concerning web ordering, payment and delivery methods will need to be resolved.

AccountView is an ERP system offering multi-user (1-250 concurrent users), mutli-company, multi-currency with Nominal, Sales and Purchase Ledgers. Financial Reports, Fixed Assets.
Sales Order Processing, Purchase Order Processing, Stock Control, multiple warehouses and bin locations.
Software prices commence at £4,500 approx., increasing depending on the modules taken.
Installation services, are extra.

Please use the RCL web site Contact page to request a demo or more information.

Answers to your questions...
Daniel

Here are some answers to the above questions,

1. The site is already designed, and currently using Actinic Catalog for processing transactions. However I am looking at alternative off the shelf packages / or maybe a bepoke new web site to be developed which will be fully integrated with the functionality described above.

2. Carriage charges are charged to the customer on a fixed charge basis, but all products are despatched from our office, where we pay the actual shipping cost.

3. The web visitor pays with their credit card. And the mail order customer could pay by cheque / postal order / credit / debit card.

4. Rough budget 1k for accountancy package. Bespoke web solution on top of this - not sure yet.

A solution
Gavin

Thank you for the extra information

1 if you don't want to move from Actinic, then we have a boxed solution now to meet your rough budget. This solution will take sales orders off your web site and create sales orders ready for despatch in the accounting product and will also update Actinic stock descriptions and prices from information in your accounts package

2 if you do want to move from Actinic, then we have a 2 boxed solution - accounting package and webstore package (already linked)

Please contact us on the email address below
