Stock Software

Stock Software

Didn't find your answer?

Can anybody suggest a good stock system software?

I've just taken over the role of finance manager for a heating and plumbing company, which currently doesn't have a stock system! In the 3 months that I have been here, this is the biggest area of concern with regards stock that grows legs and walks away and the allocation of stock to the correct department and contract number.

The front end users of the software will be our two storeman, so the software must be user friendly. It will need to be able to produce reports which can be broken down by department, then contract number and finally by address. The allocations can then be journaled into Sage Line 50.

If anybody is using a software or could recommend a system that would suit our needs, it would be much appreciated.

Miracle Service Accent, manufactured by Vantage Computing
Dear Paul,

There are probably 100's of systems out there that could meet your needs.

Question is do you want the software for Stock Control only or does the software need to do other things like manage plumbers diary. invoicing etc….

We use software called Miracle Service Accent, manufactured by Vantage Computing. This may cater for your stock control but also much more.

The good thing is that the cost and the after care service is very good – it will also export to Sate Line 50.

For more details look at http://www.vantagecomputing.co.uk/content/default.asp

Speak to Matthew Houlden he is very good and will be able to answer all your queries.

Feel free to drop my name in as reference.

Kind Regards,

Kumar Bhimjiyani

I agree........................
with the other steve's comment above, if you are in construction you really should look at Sage Construct, it's an add-on to your existing accounts and will manage all aspects of costing and document processing for the actual contracts too.

Why not Sage 50?
I agree with the last commentator. It seems silly to change if Sage 50 does what you need.
On the other hand, if Sage 50 doesn't do what you want, then it would help to clarify why not. We may be able to help or advise if you need to upgrade.
By the way, I see your company is in construction, so what about Sage Construction for your contract costing?

Why not Line 50?
I have a plumbing and heating client who uses Line 50 for stock control. Invoices are raised in the shop and it automatically updates stock.
