Student seeks advice on Catch-22

I am an ACCA student studying in London. I have no practical experience in the field. Consequently I am finding it difficult to obtain a position that would suit my needs. The ACCA expects three years of specific and high calibre practical experience from their students, which employers and employment agencies do not seem to understand. What do you suggest students in my position do?
