subcontracting

thinking of giving up my practice job to be subcontractor

I'm ACCA qualfied.

Not really sure if its worth it or the pro's and con's.

How do others go about getting started?

I subcontract for a firm part time and run my own practise the rest of the time

It's hard to find a company who wants this type of work, currently there are loads of accountants looking for work so now is not the best time to do it. If the client has no work then neither will you.

It works well for me as it is flexible, but in the current economic climate I think I would stick where you are for a while
