TAS Payroll; FBI; ActiveX error massage

Didn't find your answer?

New to FBI. using TAS Payroll procedures, all going smoothly until, at the end of the process, we get an on screen error messsage:

426 End of Year Filing by internet
Error description ActiveXcomponent can't create object
Error number 429
Form name 426 ' End of year filing by internet.

Any ideas what this is all about and how we get past it? We have only two computers networked. The computer involved with internet filing is on Windows '98 networked to the net via a Windows XP host. So far as I can see the ActiveX settings in the W98 machine are set to allow ActiveX using the default settings.

The host computer uses AVG Free for antivirus protection and Zone Alarm for the network firewall.

Help would be much appreciated. We've sent an email to TAS as phoning them is a waste of time. They never answer claiming they are "exceptionally busy". We don't want to have to wait for days for an answer (ovbviously) so put the question here.

Many thanks everyone.

Gareth Jones

ActiveX fixed!!
I am impressed. We received a detailed reply from TAS very quickly. The answer is to go to Start>Run and enter REGSVR32.EXE DOMWRAP.DLL then click OK. Problem solved. We've not managed to file any PAYE inline yet but at least this issue is sorted.
