A limited company client is considering going for a tax scheme with a reputable firm and the limited company will then put the avoidance scheme number on their return. The limited company is currently under enquiry (no scheme in the year of enquiry) and this has made the director's nervous of the scheme generally. They would like to take out some form of tax enquiry insurance if possible, but looking at the small print most schemes appear not to cover tax avoidance schemes (or they have a limit of £250).
Any advice?
